Speaker of the House of Representative, Yakubu Dogara, and his deputy, Sulaiman Lasun are noticeably absent from the ongoing National Executive Committee meeting of the ruling Party All Progressives Congress, APC.
The two highest ranking members of the party in the legislature have given rise to various speculations especially following the decision of The Senate President Bukola Saraki to Dump the APC for PDP earlier.
Aside from this, Dogara and Lasun were among party leaders who had expressed displeasure with various developments in the party which according to Senator Bukola Saraki were the reasons for his exit.
Sulaiman Lasun had also expressed dissatisfaction over the direct method adopted for the Party’s Gubernatorial primary in Osun state where he contested and lost.
The APC Chairman, Adams Oshiomole relayed the apologies of the duo for missing the NEC meeting.
At the end of the meeting, the part executives are expected to announce a decision on adopting the system used for the Osun primary in subsequent primary elections of the party.
