I Was A Diligent Reporter, But He Was Editing Me In His Heart: The Story Of Dayo And Rachel As They Say ‘I Do’

love story

What do you think about falling in love with a colleague? I bet that is very close to office romance right? But chill, Dayo and Rachel’s love story can’t be called an office romance, but they met and got to know each other through their common passion and dreams. Their love story started on campus as colleagues, then they became friends and now to the altar.

Dayo and Rachel were students of the mass communications department of the prestigious Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, but while Dayo was a 300 level student, Rachel was in 100 level. Her zeal to learn and the desire to gain all needed exposure made her join the ECHO, an inter campus newspaper run by students with passion and flair for journalism.

It won’t be totally wrong to say this was where it all started, but Dayo and Rachel did not have any relationship than colleagues and editor-reporter relationship ( did I mentioned Dayo later became the Editor of ECHO newspaper? I didn’t? My bad!), But this was enough to keep them connected as good friends even long after Dayo graduated from the university.
In Rachel’s words:

 love story

“Of a truth,  God knows the end from the very beginning. Even when I was just doing my thing and being a diligent reporter at ECHO newspaper, little did I know this editor of mine was busy editing me in his heart.”

Awww! So adorable you will say. Dayo on his part have this to say:
“We met as fate would have it. The first time I saw her, I never knew something intimate will happen between us.
Yes, we were in the same department, but not the same level, but we belonged to a particular group on campus ; Echo Newspaper (an inter Campus Newspaper published in AAUA.)

I will not say Echo Newspaper brought us together cause she was not the only lady in Echo Newspaper, but our coming together was divinely arranged.
Funny enough, we never had anything until I graduated, in fact I asked her out two years after I graduated.

Yes, we were friends on campus, but no strings were attached.
I blessed the day I met her, and I won’t forget the day she said YES!”

Happy married life guys, we wish you peace and unending love in your union.
